Asterisms is a small new series for slow sounds, non-linear noises, ecstatic encounters, and silver symmetries. Occurring intermittently, the fourth iteration of these events presents Laura.aLL, 25.01.26/23.01(YAZ/WA), and Agente Costura at Soft Canyon.
25.01.26/23.01(YAZ/WA)
25.01.26/23.01(YAZ/WA) is the collaboration of YAZ and BIlwa. Marking their duo debut, they will perform “23.05.2025”; a graphic score for movement, sound, and light, based on numbers and letters from their names and the date. Layers of sine tones, in various frequencies, converge, beat, phase, and oscillate in dialogue with dance/ movement.
William “Bilwa” Costa is a conceptual artist who works with sound. His work includes: performance, experimental/electro-acoustic music, noise, sound art, un/natural field recordings, graphic scores and conceptual structures. In his concerts, or “sound saunas,” he incorporates psychoacoustics and auditory illusions including: phasing, beating, cancellation, etc., using a range of sine tones. In Berlin he organizes experimental music / performance series including: NOTES/TONES, BRŒK, tea/tōn, etc.
Yaz is a Berlin-based artist, she explores the intersection of sound and performance, shaped by echoes of her childhood in Japan, where nature and spirituality informed her sensibility. Merging genres and forms, she seeks new sonic landscapes, weaving in body movement—drawn from butoh, the contemporary, and the spaces between.

Laura.aLL (aka LauraL, Laura Leiner) is a guitarist, experimental composer and curator. She is an artist and researcher with a multi-disciplinary background encompassing music, performing arts, sound art, video and social communication/journalism. Laura’s work ranges from experimental art to ambient music, including deep listening, psychedelic rock, electroacoustic, noise, and minimal.

Agente Costura is a continuous building site for self playing, oscillating, blinking, touch sensitive, light sensitive, talking, soft, found, stitched, glitched, and hacked instruments, acting and reacting in an ever fluctuating state of chaos. It’s all a matter of resistance.
